The Vancouver Valuation Summit was held on March 2, 2007 with the attendance of senior executives and officials. Various speakers highlighted the importance of recognizing the value of sustainability in buildings. It was noted that, at present, green features were not always given positive values by valuers. Developers who presented their cases of green developments showed that the green features in their projects added value to their development and were welcomed by buyers. The Vancouver Accord which signifies the commitment of valuation standards organizations was launched.
