Canada Green Building Council’s 3rd Annual National Conference will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre from June 8-10, 2010. Over 60 speakers and panelists will be featured at the conference. Program streams include: 1/ Actual Performance Stream which will focus on the necessity to measure, verify and report data in order to improve building performance. 2/ Economics & Innovations Stream which will explore the business case for building green and the role of buildings in the green economy. 3/ Green Practices for New Construction Stream which will focus on innovative design, construction practices and technology applications for new buildings. 4/ Policy and Procedure Stream which will examine the policies and procedures that support corporate social responsibility and sustainability policies. 5/ Sustainable Cities and Communities Stream which will examine important elements of sustaianble communities and will also highlight effective models of sustainability. 6/ LEED Canada for Homes Stream which will cover issues for the residential home builder and the consumer as well as sustainable neighbourhood development. 7/ The Master Speaker Series will showcase the pioneers of the Green Building Movement. 8/ Green in the Public Sector Stream will highlight the challenges and successes in North American cities, programs that are designed to assist municipalities and how policy makers shape the greening of communities.
