Phil Christie, TransLink's Vice President of Real Estate will speak at the Greennx 2008 Green Building conference on May 15 at UBC. Phil will give an overview of the opportunities for real estate development along TransLink's mass transit line which will provide great potential for growth in the region resulting in sustainable city development supported by mass public transportation. Development, marketing and partnerships all enhance the value of publicly-owned real estate, and that has been a hallmark of Phil Christie’s 27 years with the provincial government. He joined TransLink in July 2007, and is responsible for the management of land and property assets. The real estate and partnership strategies Phil develops will help preserve transit corridors, make the best use of land near high-capacity transit services and bring the highest possible return on public investment. Phil is a member of the BC Institute of Agrologists and the Real Estate Institute of BC. |
