Brock Macdonald, Executive Director of the Recycling Council of British Columbia will join the discussion on sustainability and speak about the issue of waste after the screening of the film Waste=Food on October 13, 2007 at the Greennx Film Festival which is a special event featuring inspirational films on sustainability and innovative design. There will be a discussion on sustainability and innovative design after each screening session. The Recycling Council of British Columbia (RCBC) is Canada’s longest standing recycling organization devoted to the principles of zero waste. Prior to joining RCBC in 2003, he managed communications for Product Care, B.C.’s first industry stewardship association, formed in 1994 to collect and manage post-consumer paint, pesticides and flammable liquids. Brock is a former educator and an award-winning print and broadcast journalist who has worked as a communications professional in the computer electronics, manufacturing and sports entertainment sectors. When he’s not promoting Zero Waste principles in his professional capacity, he performs improv and stand-up comedy in support of local charities. |
