In her role as Treasurer, World Green Building Council, Nellie Cheng has been working with Green Building Councils in different countries to grow the Green Building industry and push it to the main stream. She has played a pivotal role in working with groups in China to promote market transformation of Green Industry.

As Project Manager, 2010 Winter Olympics, Nellie Cheng is responsible for coordinating Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's Sustainable and Green Building initiatives related to 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Previously, Nellie Cheng worked as Senior Trade Consultant at Canada Mortgage and housing Corporation, promoting Canadian Healthy Housing and Sustainable Communities in the China market. Working with Chinese developers, her team has implemented Canadian Super E Healthy Housing and Canadian Sustainable Community projects in Shanghai and Beijing. Nellie Cheng has been frequently invited to present Canadian expertise in these areas at conferences and workshops in many Chinese cities.

Nellie Cheng has a Master Degree in Communication Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, and a B.A. in English from Henan University in China.
